Cook Time: 55-60 minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 whole chicken about 4lbs
2 oranges cut in half
1 large white onion cut in quarters
5 sprigs of rosemary
5 springs of thyme
3 sprigs of parsley
1 tablespoon diced ginger
1/4 cup olive oil
32 oz chicken broth
paprika, salt, and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Preheat over to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and grab your Dutch oven.
Place your chicken on a cutting board or safe food area. Pour olive oil and rub the chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika until fully covered.
Take half your oranges, onions, and herbs and place them inside the chicken.
Pour chicken broth into the Dutch oven, then add in spiced chicken. Add the rest of the oranges, onions, ginger, and herbs to the Dutch oven.
Cover the Dutch oven and cook for 30 minutes then uncover and cook for 25-30 minutes or until fully cooked.
Once fully cooked let cool for about 10 minutes. Make sure to take out the added items to the chicken cavity once cooled. Then cut up and ENJOY!
