Serves: 8-10 people
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 35-45 minutes
INGREDIENTS
8 tablespoons of butter cut into squares
1 load of Italian of Brioche Bread sliced
10 eggs
1-1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla or almond extract
1 cup dark brown sugar packed in
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup to 1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grab a baking dish that is deep enough to hold your bread (at least 3 inches deep) and oil it up.
In that large bowl mix the eggs, cream, milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla.
In another bowl mix brown sugar, nuts, blueberries, flour, and salt.
In your baking dish add slices of bread and pour over the egg mixture. Once the bread is fully soaked top it with your sugar nut mixture; do not push this mixture just let it sit on top. Add the slices of your butter to the top of the dish in random areas.
Place in oven for 35-45 minutes or until slightly brown.
Once fully baked then let rest for 5-8 minutes and serve.
