Dinner Rolls

Serves: 10-15 people

Prep Time: 10 minutes plus 75 minutes for rising

Cook Time: 20-25 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1-1/2 cup warm milk

  • 1/2 cup butter melted plus an additional 2 tablespoons melted

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2-1/4 teaspoons active yeast

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • 3 eggs

  • 1-1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 6 cups all-purpose flour

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add the sugar, yeast, and warm water to warm milk. Warm the milk and water to 110 degrees in the microwave beforehand. Stir to dissolve the sugar and let the yeast mixture sit for 5 minutes or until foamy top forms.

  2. Once you have the foamy top, mix the yeast milk mixture in a bowl with a dough hook, 1/2 cup melted butter, eggs, salt, and about half of your flour. Slowly add the rest of your flour once the first half is incorporated. Once fully incorporated set aside for 1 hour for dough to double in size.

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  4. Punch down your dough and on a floured surface shape rolls into the desired size and place them into a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, let sit for an additional 15 minutes.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown then once out of the oven brush on your additional 2 tablespoons of butter.
