Homemade Cornbread

aMAZING SKILLET HOMEMADE CORNBREAD
Serves: 10 people
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20-25 minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1-1/2 cup of milk
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup butter melted
2 extra tablespoons of butter melted
DIRECTIONS
Preheat over to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl combine the following; cornmeal, flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, milk, egg, and butter. Mix until everything is incorporated.
Place the extra 2 tablespoons of melted butter into the cast iron skillet and start heating up on your stove. Once butter is bubbling add the cornmeal mixture.
Let this mixture sit on your stove for about 1 minute then transfer to your oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
