Serves: 5-8 people

Prep Time: 175 minutes

Cook Time: 15-25 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 3/4 cup warmed milk

  • 1/2 cup warmed water

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 2-1/4 teaspoon instant yeast

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup corn flour or semolina

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the milk, water, salt, and yeast. Set aside for 10-15 minutes for blooming. It should be bubbling when time is up.

  2. Once the yeast is ready, add flour to a large bowl and add the yeast mixture. Mix thoroughly with a dough hook or by hand.

  3. In a smaller bowl mix the melted butter and egg until the egg is fully mixed. Once mixed pour into flour mixture and continue to mix until everything is fully incorporated.

  4. Set aside for 1 to 2 hours to allow the dough to rise and double in size.

  5. Once dough has risen, roll out dough to be about 1/2 inch thick and cut out with round cutters. Once fully cut out set aside for another hour.

  6. When the dough has rested for an hour, warm up a cast iron skillet to medium heat on your stove. Add about 1 tablespoon or 2 of corn flour to the skillet. Once the skillet is warm; place an English muffin, and flip after about 5 minutes. Then bake the other side for about 5 minutes.

  7. Once you are done with your first round clean off the corn flour from the skillet then add more to continue baking.

  8. Allow the English muffins to cool down for a few minutes then ENJOY!

You can use this dough with a deep dish or even roll it out to be a thin crust.

ENJOY!
