INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large teaspoon dry yeast

  • 1/2 cup warm water - divided in 1/4 cups

  • 3 cups bread flour

  • 1/2 tablespoon salt

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • Flake salt for topping

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix yeast and 1/4 cup of warm water and set aside for 5 minutes or until yeast water bubbles.

  2. In mixer bowl add flour, water, salt, and yeast water.

  3. Knead by hand for 5 minutes then use a dough hook with a mixer for about 3 minutes.

  4. Cover and rest for 15 minutes then re-mix for 10 minutes. Add 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil into the bowl as mixing.

  5. Cover and set aside for 1 hour to rise.

  6. In a 13”x9.5” or larger dish place 2-3 more tablespoons of olive oil.

  7. Once the hour has passed, stretch the dough into the oiled pan and re-cover to rest for another hour. When the hour is almost up set the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit

  8. After the second proof is done, add dimples to the bread dough and add the remaining olive oil, you can never have too much. Top with flaky salt and or any other toppings you want and bake for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Allow the bread to cool down for a few minutes then ENJOY!
